Tile got there before Apple did and the Pro is still the one to buy if you are not locked into an iPhone. Bigger speaker, longer range, and a battery you can swap rather than a sealed unit you bin.

Range, And What Finding Actually Looks Like
400 feet quoted, and thats a clear line of sight number. Through walls in a normal house, expect closer to 100. Which is fine, because in-range finding is for keys down the back of a sofa and the ring is loud enough to locate them fast.
Out of range, you are relying on the Tile network. Any phone running the Tile app that passes your lost item reports its position back to you anonymously. That works well in a city and poorly in a rural area, and the honest summary is that the network is smaller than Apple’s Find My, because Find My uses every iPhone in existence whether the owner installed anything or not.
The Subscription Question
Basic finding is free. Smart Alerts, which tell you when you have left something behind, sit behind Tile Premium, and thats the feature most people actually want. Its an irritating split and worth knowing before you buy rather than after.
Battery is CR2032 and user replaceable, roughly a year. Being able to swap it yourself is a real advantage over the sealed trackers.
Tile Or AirTag
On an iPhone, AirTag wins on network size and precision finding, and its not close. On Android, Tile is the answer. The AirTag 4-pack is worth comparing if you are in the Apple camp.
One thing to be aware of, all Bluetooth trackers can be misused for stalking. Both Tile and Apple now run anti stalking detection, and it works better on newer phones. Worth knowing it exists.
Final Verdict
The Tile Pro hits a sweet spot between price and range. At 400 feet, its got the longest Bluetooth range of any Tile tracker, and the replaceable battery means you wont have to buy a new one every year. The built-in speaker is loud enough to actually find stuff buried in couch cushions. One thing worth noting though, the Tile network is smaller than Apples Find My network, so if your keys end up somewhere random the crowd-sourced location tracking isnt quite as reliable.
