Why It’s a Cool Find

In-Depth Review

A tracker under 30 dollars used to mean a dim monochrome screen and a step count that argued with reality. This one has an AMOLED display, which is the single upgrade that makes a cheap watch feel like a real product rather than a toy.

Someone who wants step count, heart rate and sleep timing without paying a subscription or committing to an ecosystem. Also a solid first tracker for a teenager, or a backup for anyone who does not want to wear a 400 dollar watch to the gym.

What We Like

  • Why It’s a Cool Find:

What Could Be Better

  • Heart rate tracking is more of an estimate than medical grade accuracy
  • Screen is hard to read in direct sunlight even at max brightness
  • The companion app is barebones and syncing can be flaky over Bluetooth

What A Cheap Tracker Actually Measures Well

Steps and sleep timing. Those two it gets close enough that the number is useful, and honestly thats what most people check.

Heart rate is the one to be careful with. Resting readings are usually in the right area. During intervals or anything with a lot of wrist movement, optical sensors at this price lag badly and smooth out the peaks, so a hard effort can show up as a mild one. If you train to heart rate zones, this is not the device and a chest strap is the answer regardless of what watch you own.

Sleep staging is guesswork. Every wrist tracker infers stages from movement and pulse rather than measuring brain activity, and the cheap ones infer it badly. Total time asleep, roughly right. Deep versus REM breakdown, treat it as entertainment.

The Screen Is The Reason To Buy It

AMOLED means proper blacks and enough brightness to read outdoors, which sounds like a small thing until you have used a cheap TFT tracker in sunlight and given up. Always on display drains it fast, so leave it on raise to wake and you will get most of a week per charge.

What To Expect From The App

Functional, a bit clunky, and translated unevenly. Data exports are limited and there is no meaningful integration with Strava or Apple Health beyond the basics. For 25 dollars thats the trade.

Notifications come through and you can reject a call but not take one. Fine for glancing at a message in a meeting.

Final Verdict

Does it replace an Apple Watch? Not even close. But for under $30 it tracks your steps, gives you basic heart rate data, and shows notifications from your phone. For someone who just wants fitness basics without spending $300 on a smartwatch, it does enough. Set your expectations at the price point and youll be happy with it.
