How Good Is Cheap ANC, Really
The 42dB figure on the box is a lab number measured at the frequencies ANC handles best. Real world, expect the low steady stuff to fall away convincingly. Engine noise, air conditioning, tyre roar on a motorway. That is the bulk of what makes a commute tiring and its genuinely well handled here.
Voices are a different matter. Speech sits in a frequency range that active cancellation struggles with, so a colleague two desks over or a conversation on a bus still comes through.
