The AirTag does one thing well, it borrows a billion iPhones to find your keys. We covered whether thats worth $29 in our honest AirTag review, and the short answer was yes, if you’re deep in Apple land. But its useless on Android, theres no hole for a keyring, and a four pack still runs about $90 on a good day.
These five trackers each beat the AirTag on at least one of those complaints. Two work with Android, three cost less per tag, and every single one has a keyring hole. Imagine that.

The battery lasts about 1.5 years and you can swap it yourself. It needs a Samsung phone for the full feature set, thats the one catch.

Most trackers chirp politely from under a couch cushion. The POP is properly loud, you will hear it from another room, which matters more day to day than any network feature. It joins either Apple Find My or Google Find My Device, pick one at setup, and the two way ring lets you press the tag to make your phone yell back. Colors are a small thing but it makes each tag easy to tell apart on a keyring pile.

The value play. Two tags for under $19 rides the same Apple Find My network the AirTag uses, so lost mode and nearby finding work the way an iPhone owner expects. You give up UWB precision finding, the app points you close and the beep does the rest. iPhone only, Android isnt supported at all, so Galaxy folks should scroll back up to #1. At $9.50 a tag you can afford one for the dog’s collar too. If you just want the genuine article, the AirTag 4 pack is the better per tag price on the Apple side.

Do any of these work with both iPhone and Android at the same time?
Only the Tile Mate. Chipolo and Pebblebee support both platforms but each tag commits to one network at setup, you can reset and switch later. The Samsung and eufy tags are locked to their side.
Are these as good as an AirTag for finding lost luggage?
On the Apple side, close. The eufy, Chipolo and Pebblebee tags use the same Find My network, so an airport full of iPhones pings them just as well. Samsungs network is strong in cities but thinner in rural areas. Tiles is the smallest of the three networks.
Whats the catch with cheap trackers?
Speaker volume and build, mostly. Sub $10 no name tags on Amazon often have weak rings and batteries that die in months. Everything on this list comes from an established brand with a real app behind it, which is what you’re actually paying the extra $8 for.
