Aobbow Magnetic Portable Charger Review: A $22 MagSafe Power Bank Thats Barely Thicker Than Your Phone

Key Features
Strong MagSafe Snap
Built in magnets lock onto iPhone 12 through 17 without a case adapter. The alignment ring keeps it centered so it actually charges where its supposed to.
Ultra Slim Design
This thing is seriously thin. About 7mm thick and roughly credit card sized. Slides into a back pocket or bag without adding noticeable bulk.
15W Wired + 10W Wireless
USB-C port pushes 15W wired, magnetic wireless does 10W. Not the fastest out there, but plenty for topping off when you’re out and about.
5000mAh Capacity
Enough for roughly one full charge on an iPhone 16 Pro. Not a multi day solution but perfect for getting through a long afternoon or evening out.
Our Experience
We’ve gone through a bunch of MagSafe power banks over the last year, and most of them fall into two camps: they’re either too thick to comfortably use while attached to your phone, or they have weak magnets that slide off in your pocket. The Aobbow lands in a surprisingly nice middle ground.
The magnetic grip is strong enough that we could shake the phone without it detaching, but not so strong that pulling it off feels like a workout. We used it clipped to an iPhone 16 Pro in a standard MagSafe case for about a week. It added barely any thickness, felt balanced in hand, and charged from about 20% to full in a little under two hours wirelessly. Through USB-C it was noticeably faster, maybe 90 minutes from near dead.
The LED indicator is small and doesnt light up the room if you’re charging overnight. Thats a small detail but we appreciated it. One thing to flag though, the 5000mAh rating means you get roughly one full charge and then the bank itself needs juice. For some people thats plenty. For heavy users who need two or three charges worth, look at a bigger pack.

Final Verdict
At $22, the Aobbow Magnetic Portable Charger is one of the best value MagSafe power banks we’ve tested. It wont replace a high capacity travel battery, but for everyday carry when you just need your phone to survive until you get home, its hard to beat. The slim form factor is the real selling point here. Most power banks this price are twice as thick and dont have magnetic alignment. If you own an iPhone 12 or newer, this is an easy pickup.
