We mounted this in our living room facing a sliding door, the spot where most cameras either washout in afternoon sun or go grainy at night. The 3K sensor handled both. Daytime feed actually showed the texture on the curtains. Nighttime infrared was clean enough to read what was on the coffee table.

The motion tracking is the part that surprised us. Most pan/tilt cams with auto track jerk around like theyre having a seizure. This one actually follows smoothly, like someone’s panning a camera. We watched it track the cat across the room and it didn’t lose her once.

Setup took about four minutes through the SwitchBot app. The privacy mode toggle is bigger than on the older model, easier to find when you need it fast. Local SD recording works fine if you skip the cloud sub.
