We ran both through the same week of mixed use (RV, camping, home backup test) to settle it.

Pass-through power. Both can charge while powering devices, but the Anker handles surges from things like power tools and large fridges slightly better in our testing.

Build quality. The Anker feels slightly more substantial in the hand. Plastic is thicker, handles are sturdier. Subjective but consistent across the two units we tested.

Surge handling. Anker SurgePad lets it briefly push 2,000W for items that draw a quick spike (compressor fridges, electric kettles, microwaves on startup). Useful in practice.

Where EcoFlow Wins

Faster wall recharge. 50 minutes to 80% vs Ankers 58 minutes. Not a huge difference but real if youre stuck at a campground with limited charging time.

Higher continuous AC output. 1,800W vs 1,500W. If you run a high draw appliance continuously (microwave, induction cooktop, heat gun), EcoFlow has more headroom.

X-Boost feature. EcoFlows X-Boost can lower voltage to run resistive loads (like a hair dryer or heat gun) that exceed the pure inverter capacity. Practical for travel and emergencies.

App polish. EcoFlow has been iterating their app longer. Slightly more refined UI, better firmware update history.

Real World Use Tests

Powering a small camper fridge (45W average) overnight: Both ran a 12 hour overnight on a fridge with no issues. Anker reported 21% remaining; EcoFlow reported 19%. Roughly equivalent.

Running a CPAP machine all night: 8 hour CPAP run with humidifier. Both made it. Anker had 38% remaining; EcoFlow had 34%.

Charging two laptops + four phones + LED lights for a 6 hour evening: Both handled the load fine. Both showed about 30% capacity used.

Running a microwave for 2 minutes: Both worked. EcoFlows X-Boost kicked in for the second microwave we tested (a 1,200W countertop unit); Anker SurgePad worked for the first (a smaller 900W).

Buy the Anker SOLIX C1000 if:
