Fullstar Vegetable Chopper Review

The viral kitchen tool with 100K+ reviews — tested for a full month
Cool Finds Daily Team · April 2026
8.5/10
After a month of near-daily use, the Fullstar Vegetable Chopper earned a permanent spot on our counter. It dices onions without tears, spiralizes zucchini in seconds, and the built-in container catches everything so your cutting board stays clean. The blades are legitimately sharp out of the box and stayed that way through our test period. Not perfect — hard root vegetables like raw beets take real effort, and the egg separator feels like a throwaway addition. But for everyday meal prep, this thing saves 10-15 minutes per cooking session. At under $25, it is one of the better kitchen purchases we have made this year.

Our Take After 30 Days

We used this chopper nearly every day for a month. Onions were the first test, and honestly the main reason we bought it. The dice blade produced consistent quarter-inch cubes, and because the onion stays inside the chopper body, the tear-inducing fumes barely reach your face. That alone justifies the purchase for anyone who cooks regularly.

Tomatoes, bell peppers, and mushrooms all chopped cleanly. The julienne blade made quick work of carrots for salads. Potatoes needed to be cut in half first but then diced evenly — great for home fries. The spiralizer blade turned zucchini into noodles in maybe 20 seconds, which made weeknight “pasta” dinners much easier to pull off.

Where it struggled: raw beets and turnips required serious downward pressure. Soft fruits like ripe avocado just smashed rather than diced. And the included egg separator? We used it once and forgot about it. Feels like they threw it in to pad the accessory count.

The container lid with pour spout turned out to be surprisingly handy. Chop everything, snap the lid on, pour into the pan. Less mess than a cutting board for sure. Dishwasher cleanup was painless — everything came out clean on the top rack.

Pros and Cons

What We Liked

  • Onion dicing with minimal tears is a game changer
  • Seven blade options cover most daily prep tasks
  • Built-in container reduces cutting board mess
  • Dishwasher safe parts make cleanup effortless
  • Under $25 — pays for itself in time saved within a week

Where It Falls Short

  • Hard root vegetables require significant force
  • Very soft produce smashes instead of dicing
  • Egg separator feels like filler
  • Takes up more drawer space than a regular knife

Common Questions

Can it handle frozen vegetables?

No. Frozen produce is too hard and could damage the blades. Thaw everything first, or use it exclusively with fresh ingredients for best results.

How long do the blades stay sharp?

In our month-long test, blade sharpness held up perfectly. Based on user reports, expect 6-12 months of regular use before noticing any dulling. Replacement blades are available from Fullstar.

Is it worth it if I already have a food processor?

Different tools for different jobs. The chopper wins for quick single-vegetable prep where you do not want to drag out and clean a full food processor. Think of it as a speed upgrade for everyday cooking rather than a replacement for batch processing.
