We went into this expecting another flimsy kitchen gadget that works great on tomatoes and falls apart on anything harder. Wrong. The Mueller Pro-Series handled a red onion, two carrots, and a sweet potato without any drama. The blade pressure is good enough that you dont need to slam the lid down, a firm press does the job.

The 8 different blades cover pretty much every cut you’d want. We used the large dice for stir fry prep, the julienne blade for carrot sticks, and the thin slice blade for cucumber rounds. Each one clicks into place with a satisfying snap. Switching between them is quick, maybe 5 seconds tops. The clear container underneath holds a decent amount too, roughly 1.4 quarts, so you can chop multiple vegetables before needing to empty it.

Real talk though, the cleaning brush that comes with it is kind of useless. We found a regular dish brush works better for getting bits of onion out of the blade grids. And while it handles hard veggies well, really dense root vegetables like raw beets require some serious pressure. Overall for $25, this thing earns its spot on the counter.
